- 1 Box Store Bought White Cake Mix
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 3 cups Confectioners' Sugar
- 2 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/3 cup True Cherry Preserves (or more to taste)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Bake the cupcakes according to the back of your store bought mix.
To make the frosting, cream butter in a bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Beat in confectioners' sugar gradually until light and fluffy.
Beat in heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time, until frosting reaches spreading or piping consistency. Mix in cherry preserves and vanilla extract. Pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes.
