Moosejaw Mountaineering and Patagonia are teaming up to help raise some money for some really fantastic charities. Two of those charities are near and dear to our hearts here at Cherry Republic: the Leelanau Conservancy and the Michigan Land Use Institute.
Here’s how it works. The charities will try to raise as much money as possible through the Crowdrise page set up for the fundraiser. The charity that raises the most will get a $5,000 donation from Moosejaw and Patagonia. Second place will get $3,000 and the charity that comes third will snag the remaining $2,000. You can also score some prizes yourself as an added incentive.
We think that’s pretty great! Way to go, Moosejaw! Nice work, Patagonia!
But we think some of these charities deserve more than five grand. Both the Leelanau Conservancy and Michigan Land Use Institute do really amazing work. That’s why we donate to them regularly and why, when Cherry Republic donated over $100,000 to a variety of charities in Michigan last December, those two charities were high up on our list.
Clearly our friends at Moosejaw need a little help from us to make this more interesting. So let’s up the ante!
If either the Leelanau Conservancy or the Michigan Land Use Institute place in the top 3, Cherry Republic pledge to match the donation they receive from Moosejaw. Let’s spell this out, just to be clear:
If either the Leelanau Conservancy or the Michigan Land Use Institute place first, Cherry Republic pledges to match the $5,000 they get from Moosejaw.
If either the Leelanau Conservancy or the Michigan Land Use Institute place second, Cherry Republic pledges to match the $3,000 they get from Moosejaw.
If either the Leelanau Conservancy or the Michigan Land Use Institute place third, Cherry Republic pledges to match the $2,000 they get from Moosejaw.
Got it? Good!
Now let’s get out there and raise some money for these wonderful charities! Head on over to the Crowdrise site and donate now!
