One of our favorite things is when one of our Citizens shares a photo showing how they are enjoying their ruby red morsels of joy. Recently Didi’s Sweet and Treats out of Troy, Michigan, shared this yummy photo of Chocolate Cherry Blondies on her Instagram page. (She used Cherry Republic Montmorency Dried Cherries, which she calls “the best!”) Here’s her recipe for you to make at home!
1 stick butter, melted
1 large egg
1 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Cherry Republic Dried Montmorency cherries
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat to 350 F. Line an 8×8 baking pan; melt the butter. Allow to cool for couple minutes. Add egg, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon; whisk til smooth. Add flour and stir until just combined; don’t overmix. Stir in the dried cherries and chocolate chips. Bake about 24 to 26 minutes. Enjoy!
