We asked you to tell us what you’ll remember most about this summer, and we heard from more than 500 of our Citizens! Below are our winners, all of whom will be receiving a Cherry Republic gift box.

What Were Your Favorite Summer Memories of 2022?

Amber Snow: “My favorite memory this summer was managing to head up to Aloha State Park and surprising my mother for her birthday. All her kids managed to make it up for the family vacation this year and being part of that experience that was probably my favorite part of this summer. My family has been going to Aloha every year since my my mother was small, so the campground holds a lot of memories for my entire family. Memories of bike rides to the camp store for ice cream and donuts, summers worth of fishing in the lagoon and a whole lot more bait washing then actually catching, nights around a campfire, nearly a decade of showers never being above luke warm, hikes in the forest trails and trips into Mackinaw and Sea Shell City are all precious memories for me. I remember so much from that campground so each year I get to make new memories as well as taking a walk down memory lane for the old ones, and being there with my family each year is possibly the greatest gift I can equally give and receive.”

Nancy Preena: “My favorite summer memory was taking my 3 adult kids to the Leelanau area where we had a blast visiting wineries and cider houses, sailing on the bay, eating cherries and other delicious foods, driving M-22 and of course enjoying beautiful Michigan sunsets like this one at Mission Point!”

Stephanie Alvarez: “Taking my dad on a road trip to Cooperstown, NY. to watch my nephew and his team play baseball. We made several stops along the way in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Canada and NY! Best trip ever with lots of memories made!”
