Celebrate our great nation breaking the shackles of British colonialism at the Glen Arbor Fourth of July Parade. A favorite summer event with both the locals and the vacationers, the parade features classic cars, fire trucks, and an assortment of local personalities, businesses, and organizations. Don’t be alarmed if the Cherry Republic Bear makes an appearance too!

The inaugural Fourth of July Parade was held over 50 years ago, and in that time the parade has grown each year. It’s such a popular attraction that, although the parade sets off from Glen Haven at 12 noon and arrives in Glen Arbor around 12:30 p.m., spectators have typically staked out their spots by 10:30 a.m.

So get here early to find parking and a favorable vantage point to take in the festivities. And don’t forget to look in at Cherry Republic, as we’ll have specials and events running throughout the day.

And the Glen Arbor area is a great place to spend the rest of the day. You can even beat the crowds on Fourth of July with a little local knowledge.

The parade takes place at 12 noon on July 4. For more information, visit the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce website.
